Add free XMLTV EPG in TiviMate
Point the player at the gzip guide, refresh it every 12–24 hours, and match channels by tvg-id. The same URL works anywhere that accepts an XMLTV address. This is schedule data for sources you already have.
URLs to paste
Prefer the unified gzip feed. The uncompressed /epg.xml file is about 1 GB.
https://epg.monster/epg.xml.gzOne FAST pack is smaller. Same pattern, with a live suffix:
- https://epg.monster/epg.php?source=.pluto.us
- https://epg.monster/epg.php?source=.plex.us
- https://epg.monster/epg.php?source=.samsung.us
- https://epg.monster/epg.php?source=.roku
Replace the suffix for another published pack, for example .tubi, .pluto.ca, .plex.ca, or .samsung.ca. The value keeps the leading dot: /epg.php?source=.suffix.
TiviMate
- Open Settings → EPG and add an EPG source.
- Choose a URL source and paste https://epg.monster/epg.xml.gz.
- Set the update interval to 12 or 24 hours.
- Open your playlist settings, assign this EPG source, and keep matching on
tvg-id.
The playlist’s tvg-id has to be the same string as the XMLTV channel id. See normalized tvg-ids.
Jellyfin
- In the dashboard, open Live TV and add your own tuner (an M3U tuner for a playlist you already have).
- Next to TV Guide Data Providers, add a provider and choose XMLTV.
- Paste https://epg.monster/epg.xml.gz and save.
- Map guide channels to tuner channels. Matching is reliable when both sides use the same
tvg-id. - Let the guide refresh on Jellyfin’s schedule, or run Refresh Guide. Daily, or every 12 hours, is enough.
Emby
- On the server dashboard, open Live TV and add a guide provider.
- Choose Xml TV. Emby accepts a URL to an XMLTV file.
- Paste https://epg.monster/epg.xml.gz.
- Choose which tuners use this guide and map channels.
Emby’s Live TV and DVR feature requires Emby Premiere. The guide file itself is free.
Plex
Plex Media Server has no field for a third-party XMLTV URL. TiviMate, Jellyfin, and Emby can take the gzip address directly. For Plex, point Threadfin or xTeVe at https://epg.monster/epg.xml.gz; those apps present a tuner and guide that Plex can use. Still match on tvg-id.
Guide metadata only
epg.monster does not include streams or an M3U package. Add the guide beside a playlist you already operate. Refresh every 12–24 hours so listings stay current.
